Phillipa has twenty plus years professional experience in the health sector, personal accident insurance industry and as a consultant. Phillipa has strong ability in the development of and implementation of management systems and processes. She has specific expertise in the areas of organisational development, and service evaluation and review. Her speciality areas of quality development, operational management and service delivery, have also incorporated provider management, development and negotiation of funding based contracts with service providers throughout the health sector.
She has excellent leadership, team development and project management skills and as a consultant has had considerable experience in the management of broad ranging projects, service review and quality systems development. She was involved in DHB establishment as a contractor in personal health at the HFA, Executive Manager Hutt Valley District Health Board, and Manager Personal Health for the South Island Shared Services Agency.
She has experience in developing and running training programmes and was a tutor at the Manukau Institute of Technology National Certificate in Public Sector (Leadership Development - Middle Management). Phillipa is a qualified and experienced lead auditor in areas of health and safety, and health and disability services.
Phillipa is recognised for her effective leadership and management of relationships with health providers and health professional representative groups. Phillipa has broad experience in establishing and managing significant projects. Phillipa provides project management leadership and advises on service planning, research, quality and compliance systems.
Phillipa is a trained Baldrige evaluator and is qualified in PRINCE 2 at Foundation and Practitioner levels.
